....for beating someone with a hammer & robbing them?

An average jail time of less than TWO YEARS, (ALL prisoners except lifers serve a maximum of half their tariff) if this case is anything to go by:

"Three Birmingham men and a teenager admitted attacking the 31-year-old jeweller with a hammer and were jailed at Preston Crown Court.......

.....The raid took place last October last year at Rahman' s Jewellers off Whalley New Road, Blackburn.

The gang fled with valuables in a black Audi, leaving the shop owner with head injuries, a laceration to his face and cuts to his hands......

......Asad Mohammed, 25, of Newton Road, Sparkhill, was sentenced to four years eight months for one charge of robbery.

Mohammed Nasir Khan, 19, of Walford Road, Tyseley, received three years four months.

Adnan Ahmed, 21, of Baker Street, Sparkhill, was sentenced to three years for robbery and one charge of dangerous driving.

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been sentenced to three years in detention.

Another member of the gang, Shah Hussain, 29, of Lichfield Road, was found guilty of robbery after a three-day trial and will be sentenced on 23 July.

Susan Riley, of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Blackburn said: "The defendants had equipped themselves with weapons and were prepared to use them, subjecting the shop owner and his wife to a terrifying ordeal.

"They went to considerable lengths to escape arrest, driving the getaway vehicle dangerously and endangering other road users."

Could it possibly be that their ethnicity led to a LESSER penalty through a fear of being seen as discriminatory?

I'm sick & tired of seeing a never ending stream of serious crime being committed by immigrants, refugees, migrant workers from the EU, their families & descendants without ANY comment from the government.
Here's my idea: Send them back to where they or their families originate from if we can't be bothered to punish them properly.

Married Labour MPs Ann and Alan Keen have been given a month to stop their local council repossessing their home 10 miles from the House of Commons.

The pair's expenses have been in the spotlight after they claimed £137,679 for a second home near Parliament.

The couple's designated second home is a flat in Waterloo, two stops on the Jubilee underground line from Westminster.

Alan Keen is MP for Feltham and Heston while Ann Keen is MP for neighbouring Brentford and Isleworth.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the couple bought the central London flat in 2002 and have, between them, claimed more than £30,000 towards it in each of the past four years.

The couple told the newspaper that under the second home allowance rules, married MPs were entitled to separately claim for a property that they share and live in together. "

Why the fuck should I pay a single penny in tax when it's squandered &/or outright stolen by those who have the bloody cheek to produce the laws that allow such behaviour?

A case against the British government brought by veterans of Kenya's independence struggle will be heard at the High Court on Tuesday.

Three men and two women have launched a compensation claim for alleged human rights abuses in the 1950s and 1960s.

Fair enough, though on one condition: every single Kenyan, or descendant thereof currently residing in the UK goes back home & the cost of dragging Kenya from its tribal dark ages into the 20th century is repaid in full - plus interest.

Police Abuse of Power

As I predicted, the issuing of Tasers to UK Police as a LESS LETHAL alternative to using a firearm has rapidly led to their misuse as a cattle prod.

"Video footage of a man being shot twice with a Taser gun has been passed to the police complaints body.

The man was filmed struggling during the incident on Sunday night in Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham, as four officers attempted to arrest him.

A large group appeared and some people remonstrated with officers.

Nottinghamshire Police said no complaint had been made but they have referred the footage to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

The footage shows two officers trying to arrest the man who is lying in the road outside Nottingham's Theatre Royal.

But when they encounter difficulty, the officer with the Taser orders his colleague to let go of the man."

I would like the Police officers involved & their superiors to explain why a potentially lethal alternative to a firearm was used to ESCALATE the force applied in a situation where an armed response would NOT be justified.
Come clean Nottinghamshire Police: you're trained to use the Taser as a means of control rather than as originally intended aren't you?
You care less about the very real possibility of killing someone than your public pronouncements state, as you must be aware of the HUNDREDS of deaths caused by Tasers over the past few years.

Here's a FACT your officers ought to consider before using their "cattle prods":

"According to an Amnesty International report in December, 334 people shocked with Tasers by law enforcement died in the United States between June 2001 and August 2008."
