Nanny State Spoilsports

The dickheads in charge are even affecting my sport (& livelihood) these days.

They've banned fishing in Barrow Park lake in case someone gets snagged by a fishing hook:

"Illegal anglers are being targeted by police and Environment Agency officials in Barrow, Cumbria.

Fishing with a rod and line has been banned at Barrow Park lake, because of the danger of other visitors being injured by hooks during casting.

Now Cumbria Police has warned that those found flouting the ban will face court action.

Anyone found fishing on the lake until the end of July will be warned; those discovered after that will face fines."

I guess they'll cut all the trees down next in case one falls on someone.....

.....or how about banning books to prevent paper cuts?

Oh for fuck's sake; I can't see the point in trying to parody this as it's so utterly ridiculous in reality.
